About Electronics & Telecommunication Department

Electronics and Telecommunication is a branch dealing with the design of electronic devices like chips, microprocessors, VLSI design, embedded systems etc. It also includes communication part which primarily focuses on the sharing and transfer of information from one place to another. All the companies manufacturing local wrist watches, washing machines, refrigerators, LED TVs, huge turbines, smart phones, marine ships, train, airplanes and all chip designing companies, automobile manufacturing giants recruit Electronics and Telecommunication graduates.
The Department of Electronics Engineering offering Undergraduate (BE) with an annual intake of 60 in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering aims at producing qualified and dynamic engineers in the fast changing areas of Electronics, Instrumentation and Communication Engineering. This undergraduate course has gained paramount social recognition and has proved to be indispensable to industrial establishments.

Program Outcomes (PO's)

PO1:Engineering Knowledge PO1-Engineering Knowledge Apply knowledge of mathematics, Science and Electronics and Communication Engineering for Solving Engineering Problems and Modeling.
PO2:Problem Analysis PO2 - Problem analysis Design and conduct experiments to analyze and interpret collected data, simulate and fabricate electronic circuits and systems to make own projects utilizing latest software tools and techniques. They also possess the ability to identify, formulate, research literature and analyze complex engineering problems to reach logical conclusions
PO3:Design/Development of Solutions Design a system, component or process to meet the desired specifications, performance and capabilities; compatible with health, safety, legal, societal and environmental considerations.
PO4- Conduct investigations of complex problems Use research based knowledge and methods including design of experiments in analyzing and interpreting data, and synthesizes the data to come to valid conclusion.
PO5:Modern Tool Usage Apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern attitudes, tools (linking hardware and software) including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities and research.
PO6:Engineer and Society Understand the special duty they owe to protect the public’s health, safety and welfare by virtue of their professional status as engineers in society
PO7:Environment and Sustainability Understand and correctly interpret the impact of engineering solutions in global, societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate the knowledge for sustainable development.
PO8:Ethics Understand ethics of life and professions and abide by them. Develop consciousness of professional, ethical and social responsibilities as experts in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
PO9:Individual and Team Work It Articulate teamwork principles, work with a multi-disciplinary team, and appreciate the role of a leader, leadership principles, and attitudes conducive to effective professional practice of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
PO10:Communication Communicate and present effectively both orally and in writing, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations and give and receive clear instructions.
PO11:Project Management and Finance Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering finance and management principles as a member and leader in a team to manage projects in multi-disciplinary environments.

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of business practices and principles of management and understand their limitations, develop awareness of legal consequences of engineering solution.

PSO1 Ability to identify, understand and solve problems of Electronics and Communication engineering and to apply them to various fields like signal and system, Analog and digital Electronic circuits, VLSI, Embedded system etc.
PSO2 Ability to design and analyze complex electronic system and problems in research activity and Societal needs by using modern electronic tools.
PSO3 Knowledge of social & environmental awareness along with ethical responsibility to achieve a successful career addresses the real world applications using optimal resources as an entrepreneur.
