The department of Civil Engineering presently offers undergraduate (BE/B.Tech) as well as post graduate program (M.Tech) study program. The curriculum of Civil Engineering covers planning, construction, and maintenance of permanent structures as per Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University, Bhilai (CSVTU) syllabus with its cohesive team of faculty members. In essence, civil engineering is the profession that helps to make the world a more pleasant place to live. The department has well qualified and experienced faculties and state of art laboratories.

The aim of IGS Student Chapter at SSIPMT Raipur is to motivate the students, to give them exposure to different careers and opportunities in this area, and also to develop leadership skills among the students. In this regard, Dr. Tarun Kumar Rajak took an initiative to open the IGS Student Chapter at SSIPMT under IGS Raipur Chapter. Mr. Nishant Tripathi, Chairman (B.G.), SSIPMT Raipur and Prof. (Dr.) Alok Kumar Jain, Principal, SSIPMT Raipur congratulated Department of Civil Engineering and office bearers of IGS Student chapter i.e., President: Mr. Srikant Sarda, Vice-President: Mr. Aniket Kawadisao, Secretary: Miss. Vidhi Sharma,and Treasurer: Mr. Himanshu Agrawal for opening of student chapter. He also encouraged the members of IGS Student chapter to carry out the research in the field of geotechnical engineering and actively explore the recent trend and innovation in the field of civil engineering.
The Association of Civil Engineering (ACE) was founded in 2009 as an engineering society with a mission to foster the development of academic excellence in the field of civil engineering. ACE is dedicated to creating opportunities for students to enhance their skills and knowledge, and to promote the advancement of civil engineering education.ACE provides a platform for civil engineering students to showcase their skills through various competitions and seminars. It also conducts site visits to give students practical exposure to the industry. The association also offers mentorship programs to guide and support students in their professional journey. It is a valuable resource for civil engineering students, providing them with opportunities to learn and grow in the industry. The association's efforts towards promoting development and advancing the profession of civil engineering make it an essential player in the field.
