About Management Studies Department
The Department of Management Studies offers Two-Year, Full Time MBA course and is committed at providing best-in-class management education and strives to produce industry-ready professionals. Our MBA Course attempts to fulfill this need and provide the graduates with an opportunity to obtain gainful employment in all sectors of industry, and in governmental and non-governmental organizations as well as to encourage them chose entrepreneurship career.
Since inception, the department has been producing excellent university results with students featuring in the CSVTU Merit List. Our efforts are directed towards meticulous training of the students through regular industry interface in the form of live projects, internships, industrial visits and interaction with experts from industry and academia. The department witnesses excellent faculty-student relationship that fosters an atmosphere of regular feedback and growth. The Institute has agreements with National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Internet Business Japan (Internet academy) for student training and development programmes.

M2M
M2M Stands for Master to Muster Association formed in the year 2009. The association created exclusively by and for the students of Department of Management Studies strives to provide a platform to learn, apply and excel.
Helping them imbibe skills in event management, team work, logistics and prioritizing work. M2M organizes many activities providing students good opportunities to develop managerial mindset for handling different situations in the corporate world. Also we try providing productive recreational getaways for the students, which serves as much needed breathers in their busy academic schedules to relax and enjoy. Pyramid: A Triangular Quest
A two-day, State level competition that unfolds fun filled and brainstorming events for undergraduates and postgraduate students.
The 2 - day event comprises of competitive activities that are highly thought provoking along with high voltage cultural events at the end of the day. Participants from various Institutes and B-Schools all over the state participate to test their might and clout in this Mega event.
Alumni Meets
When one knows the history, it is believed to have a stronger future. Department of Management Studies, SSIPMT Raipur is what time, circumstance and history has made of it. The Alumni meet “Samyukkt” brings a chance to rejoice and reconnect with each other and once again relive the Alma Mater.
Practicing CSR
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much”. As we lose ourselves in the service of others, we discover our own happiness. Following this noble thought, the Department takes up various initiatives which cater to the social responsibility of oneself. Students and faculties join hands to practice CSR in the form of various activities such as “Swacchta Abhiyan”, Blood Donation Camp, Plantation and many more.
Speaker’s Round Table
A club has been introduced to improve the communication skills of the students. This will provide platform to the students to overcome their fears and enhance their communication skills. This has been introduced with the aim of improving the speaking skills of the students and spending effectively the student’s free time.

Teaching Learning Process
Internal Assessments
The department conducts two class tests each semester as a part of internal assessment of students .The syllabus of every subject across all semester consists of five units. The first CT is conducted when two units of each subject are accomplished and the second CT is conducted on the completion of entire syllabus, thus enabling students to prepare prudently all subjects uniformly.
Certification Courses
We provide the students with an opportunity to enroll in various globally renowned certification courses apart from the University curriculum so as to provide them the needed exposure for business practices.
Industrial Visits
Industrial visits provide students a practical exposure of work methods of the real world. It provides students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. It gives them exposure to current work practices as opposed to possibly theoretical knowledge being taught in the classroom. Industrial visits provide an excellent opportunity to interact with industries and know more about industrial environment.

The Department invites Industry Experts and Academicians to interact with the students and give them the needed guidance and exposure. Students also get a chance to attain a practical perspective by knowing the where about of working in the real world. We have an Integrated Research Center (IRC) at Department of Management Studies affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand University, Bhilai. Workshops are a part of SSIPMT’s holistic approach of preparing the students for success. Workshops build a learning atmosphere among the students where they are exposed to the latest trends and practically learn the various facets of ever evolving business world. - Research Method Workshop- Dr. Saket Ranjan Praveer conducted 2- days’ workshop on Research Methodology. The session was based on Hands on training on Advanced Data Analysis.(February 2020) Business Research Workshop – Dr. Saket Ranjan Praveer conducted 2- days’ workshop on Business Research methods to equip the students with statistical tools with hands on training using MS. Excel and SPSS.(February 2019)
- Managerial Skill Development Workshop- The department in association with E-Cell & T&P cell conducted Two- Days’ workshop for the students of Engineering and Management. - Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) conducted a 3-day workshop for MBA students on securities market in their Raipur Local Office. Mr. U. Ramesh (Manager, SEBI) held interactive sessions on SEBI’s role in streamlining the functioning of securities market. (September 2017)
- SSPS Workshop: Dr. Teena Bagga (Professor, Amity Business School) held a workshop at SSIPMT’s campus on basic and advanced statistical analysis by SPSS software which has a wide use in research and business analytics. (March 2017)

Industrial Visits
“Seeing is believing”. Visiting leading industrial and corporate setups situated across the length and breadth of the state like Monnet ISPAT, Bhilai Steel Plant, IBC24, Election Commission etc. is a deeply anchored habit. It assists in the learning process and provides a lasting impression.
MBA 1st year students visited Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Raipur. It was an enthralling experience for the students to learn how SEBI works. They also gained insight on the evolution of Stock Market and working of Mutual Funds.
Live Projects
“Tell me and I’ll forget, show me and I may remember, involve me and I’ll understand”. Live projects are a chief source of learning how to apply theory in to practice. Our understanding with retail stores, banks, NBFCs and FMCG majors have yielded rich dividends. Thereby our students have had a fresh, hands on stints at corporate like Raipur Treasure Island Pvt. World Environment Day
On June 05th 2020, Shri Shankaracharya Institute Raipur celebrated World Environment Day under the flagship of Department of Management Studies. The day began with the plantation of various medicinal plants used for natural healing of ailments. Later, everybody present pledged to protect and preserve at least one plant in their lifetime.
