Course Outcomes: Structural Engineering Design-IV

At the end of the course the students should be able to:

C406.1 Analyze and design combined rectangular , trapezoidal and strap beam footing by Limit State Design Method.
C406.2 Analyze and design the cantilever and counterfort retaining wall for different backfill condition by Limit state design method.
C406.3 Analyze and design the circular ground and overhead water tank with flexible and rigid base by approximate and IS code method.
C406.4 Analyze and design super structure for solid slab bridge, a T-Beam bridge for different loading conditions.
C406.5 Apply the basic concept, classification, types and losses of prestressing, to analyze the Prestressed beam.

Course Outcomes: Water Resource Engineering-II

At the end of the course the students should be able to:

C407.1 Analyze different types of dams and foundation treatment.
C407.2 Design the spillway and spillway capacity, types of spillway and energy dissipater.
C407.3 Design the weir and barrage and types of diversion works components.
C407.4 Design canal falls and understand the types of falls.
C407.5 Design different types of cross drainage works and understand curves for subcritical and supercritical flows.

Course Outcomes: Structural Analysis-III

At the end of the course the students should be able to:

C408.1 Analyze multi story frames by approximate methods.
C408.2 Analyze beams and frames by flexibility method
C408.3 Analyze beams and frames by stiffness method.
C408.4 Analyze, beams and frames by finite element method
C408.5 Analyze beams and frames by plastic analysis

Course Outcomes: Watershed Management

At the end of the course the students should be able to:

C409.1 To be able to perform hydrological modeling and soil studies of a watershed.
C409.2 To be able to perform land use/ land cover survey.
C409.3 Understand various techniques of soil and water conservation and identify soil erosion problem.
C409.4 To be able to plan and handle issues related to planning for watershed management.
C409.5 To understand land development and hill slope conservation.

At the end of the course the students should be able to:
